Hi, my name is Travis Dumas and I'm a graduate of the Rhode Island College master's program in Psychology. The reason I chose the program is twofold. One, it was affordable and two, the teachers and staff were excellent, very high-end high-quality researchers. And I really felt like I was in a community while I was there. I did my research on the effects of mindfulness, meditation, and sleep and the master's program was flexible enough to allow me to collaborate with researchers and professors at Brown University. So I used a dataset from Brown and I used a lot of the tools and teaching and staff from Rhode Island College to ultimately submit my thesis for publication. Right now, I am working on an NIH-funded grant where we have over I think 20 mindfulness researchers studying the effects of meditation on health outcomes. And I've also been consulting for a philanthropic organization that looks to support mindfulness in a variety of ways. And finally, I'm also teaching a series of lectures at a local, private high school about the theory, ethics, and practical implementation of brain-machine interfaces. And without the strong foundation in methods theory, and basic research that I got from the master's program at Rhode Island College, I wouldn't have all of these opportunities available for me. So I just wanted to say thank you for watching and I hope you consider this program as a potential choice for your further education. Thank you.
